Ship Smart provided superb service. The only recommendation I would make is to ensure customers are clearly informed shipping pallets are added to the weight and increases the cost. The pallets are the heavy duty kind (and I am glad they used these as they protect the furniture best) but they are heavy (about 50lbs each) and the additional cost was unexpected.Ship Smart provided superb service. Best customer service I've experienced in 40 years of moving! They treat your belongings as if they own them! Respectful, careful, skilled and efficient. Prices are very reasonable for such "white glove" service. Usually shipping to Alaska is exorbitant, but Smart Ship is more reasonably priced than expected. Purchasing the move went well....the scheduling gal was VERY helpful in walking me through the process. I had adequate notice of when the local movers would be at my home and they took great care in getting the furniture ready to ship. I was appraised of when it would leave Minnesota, and when it was en route to Schoolcraft, Michigan. My brother said that notification of its' arrival was well done, and he was pleased with the delivery process. Also, I thought the cost was reasonable!
