How Our Antique Shipping Service Works
Start with an estimate. List each piece with its rough size and any fragile parts: glass doors, a marble top, carved legs, a clock movement, gilt frames. The estimator prices the list, or our team can go through it with you by phone Monday to Friday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Pacific.
Pickup is scheduled 2 to 10 business days after you book. Same-week pickup is often possible for an extra fee, and booking 10 days or more ahead gives you the best chance at the date you want. Every estimate includes white glove pickup from the first floor of your home or business, so nobody has to carry a heavy chest to the curb.
Packed or Crated: What Each Antique Needs
Professional packing comes with every shipment, and custom crating is available for the fragile and high-value pieces. Here is what to mention when you book:
- Grandfather and tall case clocks: say whether the weights and pendulum can come out. Clocks are one of the items custom crates are built for.
- China cabinets, curio cases and bookcases with glass: the glass doors and shelves are the weak point, and glass is a common reason to crate.
- Marble-topped tables, dressers and washstands: marble is heavy and chips at the edges, so tell us if the top lifts off.
- Dressers, sideboards, secretaries and chests: solid frames, but veneer, inlay and carved trim scuff easily. Packing protects the finish.
- Mirrors, framed pieces and lamps: crating is available for anything with glass or a delicate frame.
- Porcelain, silver, glassware and old books: boxed in cartons and shipped together with the furniture as one shipment.
What Changes the Price
Price follows the packed weight of the shipment and the room it uses on the truck. The destination and the delivery option you pick also matter: Will-Call pickup at the destination terminal is the most affordable, Curbside Delivery brings it to the nearest accessible point, and Full Service carries it inside.
Across our published routes, a few furniture pieces with boxes (about 500 lbs) run $600 to $1,650, and a bedroom set runs $700 to $2,200. The estimator gives the exact price for your pieces. Financing is available through Enhancify if you would rather spread the cost.
Before pickup, photograph each antique from several sides and write down any existing chips, cracks or loose joints. Keep appraisals or receipts close at hand. They help if you decide to add coverage beyond the basic valuation.
