Our company specializes in shipping grandfather clocks worldwide.
Ship Smart crates all grandfather clocks and encases them with foam,
plastic and/or bubble wrap. When shipping a grandfather clock we ask
that you remove the pendulum and secure the timing mechanism. The timing
mechanism is the part that the pendulum is attached to. You can secure the
timing mechanism by taking a two inch square piece of foam, cutting a
one inch slice down the middle of the foam, and then wrap it around the
timing mechanism. If you do not feel comfortable doing this yourself,
most clock shops will do it for $50.00 or less.
Ship Smart is licensed, bonded, and a proud member of the Better Business Bureau.
