Below is a small moving tutorial explaining how to pack a glass vase. This process can be applied to most household items. The first step is to become familiar with packing materials. Unroll some Bubble-Wrap and place the vase to be packed on the wrap.

Starting in the bottom corner wrap the vase in Bubble-Wrap.

Roll vase in Bubble-Wrap tucking edges in as you roll. Depending on the value and fragility you may want to roll the item more than once.

Rolling household goods in paper is done the same way as rolling your vase in Bubble-Wrap. Start in the bottom corner.

Tuck corners in as you roll.

Roll items more than once for added protection. You can roll items in paper a few times if you only rolled your item once in Bubble-Wrap. This will allow you to save money on packing materials.

Make sure you include a layer of packing material on the bottom and on the top of the box. By inserting a layer, of crumpled packing paper, foam, or foam packing peanuts you protect your items from shock.

When packing items in a box, cover the items in foam, crumpled paper, or packing peanuts. This secures the items so they do not move around minimizing damage. Tape the lids down and label box.
